How do you make a fake leg costume?
Essentially get a volunteer and a throw away pair of pants/stockings, and wrap their legs (or more) in duct tape, then cut them out of it. Stuff and dress the shell as you see fit. That was going to be my suggestion too.. That way you get a realistic looking leg.

- Cut one on top that would allow the wearer’s head to comfortably fit through.*

How do you put the straps on a cardboard costume?
Add straps so you can wear your costume creation. To make string straps, poke holes in your cardboard first, push your string through, tie it and tape over the ties to hold them in place. To make tape straps, tape two pieces of duct tape back to back, then attach them to your cardboard using the plus-sign technique.

To make this costume, simply take a screenshot of your phone’s screen and take a photo of the back of another phone. Send the images to a copy center to have them enlarged. Adhere the front-and-back images to two pieces of cardboard then tie the cardboard together with string.
